Nem sok pihenőnk volt a szombati bajnoki mérkőzés után, hiszen csapatunk már gőzerővel edz, holnap kedden (2024.01.23.) pedig már újra pályára lép a Magyar Kupában.

Fontos mérkőzés előtt állunk, hiszen már csak egy hely kiadó a legjobb négy között. A lányok nagyon szeretnének csatlakozni a Vasas, a Békéscsaba és a Fatum-Nyíregyháza mellé s bejutni a legjobb négy közé. Ehhez viszont le kell győznünk idegenben a Kaposvárt. A párharc első találkozóján ugyanis a Kaposvár kiénekelte a sajtot a szánkból, és 3-2-re győzött ellenünk hazai pályán. Ez azt jelenti, hogy a lenti találkozó sorsdöntő lesz, amelyik csapat nyer továbbjut. Egyetlen kivétel van, ha csapatunk 3-2-re nyer csak, ekkor egy aranyjátszma fog eldönteni a négybe jutást.

A lányok jó hangulatban vannak, nagyon elszántak és motiváltak, amelyet az elmúlt hetek feszes edzésmunkája, és aa győzelmeink meg is alapoztak. Fontos lesz hogy koncentráltan, és agresszívan játsszunk, az első perctől kezdve az utolsóig.

Nagyon nehéz mérkőzés lesz, hiszen a Kaposvár jó formát mutat, a bajnokságban sikert, sikerre halmoznak. Legyőzték a jó erőkből álló MÁV Előre csapatát, és idegeben a Békéscsabát is két vállra fektették, az előző fordulóban pedig a Szent Benedek RA ellen győztek. A csapatban viszont történtek változások. Első számú liberójuk a kanadai Caylee Parker elhagyta a csapatot, magyar centerük Tóth-Bodovics Hanna pedig megsérült. Utóbbi helyére a napokban érkezett egy török játékos, Ecem Sahin. Ettől függetlenül az egyre jobb mutatókkal játszó átlójuk Dias ütéseire, és Szedmák Réka ponterős játékára, valamint a brazil center Vilvert gyors támadásaira lehet és kell is készülni.

„Harcos arcunkat kell a pályára vinnünk, és végig fókuszban kell maradnunk. – mondja másodedzőnk Valics György. A Kaposvár erős csapat, rengeteg nehéz szituációból jöttek már vissza, ezért egy pillanatra sem szabad érezniük, hogy van keresnivalójuk. Nagyon bízom a lányokban, és a továbbjutásban. A továbbjutás nem lehetetlen, s épp ezért el is fogjuk érni! „
